The Covid-19 vaccine is now being rolled out across west Essex. Those who are most at risk from Covid-19 and the people that provide care to them are being prioritised first. Please do not contact us for your vaccine – wait to be called. In line with national guidance and to protect those who are the most at risk first, the vaccine is initially being offered in the community to people aged over 80. You will be contacted when it’s your turn for a vaccine. Even if you are fit and healthy, you are still at risk of getting Covid-19, being vaccinated can greatly reduce your risk of getting the virus so please do attend your appointment when called.

The latest guidance from the Government has changed.

If you have either:

  1. A raised temperature or fever and/ or
  2. A new continuous cough and/or
  3. Loss of sense of smell and taste

And you are so ill that you've stopped doing your usual daily activities

 You must call 111 and speak to a nurse

(The phone will be very busy but you need to wait to speak to someone)

 You need to stay away from other people until you have spoken to 111 (self-isolate)

 To protect others DO NOT GO to a GP, pharmacy or hospital

 NHS 111 also has an interactive online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what you need to do.

PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP                                 
We need some volunteers to join our Patient Participation Group to help us to ensure that we are providing the services you need from us. Please visit the surgery to complete/sign a registration form.  You will also be asked to provide photographic ID and evidence of your address. As it often takes some time for records to be forwarded from your former practice all newly registered patients will be asked to complete a health questionnaire. (Alternatively you may complete the forms on-line but will still need to bring in the documents in person as soon as possible). Although you will be registered with the practice you have the right to specify a preferred practitioner.

Please note that we are an approved teaching practice and supervise qualified doctors who are training in general practice for placements lasting between 4 months and one year.
