EDUCATION & TRAINING SHUTDOWN - Wednesday 18th September 2019 from 12:30pm until Thursday 19th September 2019 at 8:00am. If you need medical attention and are unable to wait until the next day, please phone 111 or in an emergency dial 999. 

Please note: Our dispensaries will be closed from 12 noon on 18th September 2019.

If you require urgent medical assistance, which is not life threatening but cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please dial 111.  Calls to the NHS111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.  For a life threatening medical emergency dial 999.

PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP                                 
We need some volunteers to join our Patient Participation Group to help us to ensure that we are providing the services you need from us. We would like to be able to contact patients to ask them questions about the surgery. If you can spare a little time please complete the form below or ask for one from reception.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Amy Stiles has joined the practice.

We are pleased to announce that we now have two registrars, two physiotherapists and two paramedic practitioners working with us at the practice

Dr Arham Munawar (f) - new GP Registrar and will be with the surgery for the next six months.

Dr Gohar Saeed (f) - Our GP Registrar and will be with the surgery for the eighteen months until August 2019

Paramedic - Vicky Bryning - is working with us doing home visits.

Paramedic Practitioners - Abigail Merrell & David Binns are now working with the surgery doing home visits and supporting the doctors with frailty clinics 


Dr Jenni Lindford (f)


Dr Lindford trained at St George's Hospital, London and qualified in 2000.  She joined the practice in July 2009 having previously been a partner in Suffolk. She has special interests in minor surgery and women's health and is the lead doctor for COPD.  She has two young children and lives locally.

Dr Akbar Choudhry (m)


Dr Choudhry joined the practice in August 2015, having completed his GP training in Cambridge. He attended King's College London where he also completed an Intercalated BSc in Pharmacology. His clinical interests include Diabetes. Away from work he is a keen follower of cricket and football, particularly the fortunes of Manchester United.

Dr Sarah Machale (f)

Dr Machale joined the practice in 2015 when it merged. She qualified in 1994 from Oxford and then worked in a number of hospital specialties including Renal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Breast Surgery, Oncology, Care of the Elderly, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Since qualifying as a GP she has also completed further specialist training in Family Planning, Diabetes and Occupational Medicine. She has trained GP’s and medical students.  Dr Machale is local having grown up in Clavering and now has twins and a crazy black labrador to keep her busy which is why she works two days a week- Monday and Friday. She is also volunteer with Uttlesford Citizens Advice Bureau.
