GREAT NEWS - CQC Report - Marked the practice GOOD in all areas!

EDUCATION & TRAINING SHUTDOWN - Tuesday 9th July 2019 from 12:30pm until Wednesday 10th July 2019 at 8:00am. If you need medical attention and are unable to wait until the next day, please phone 111 or in an emergency dial 999.

OUT-OF-HOURS                     
If you require urgent medical assistance, which is not life threatening but cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please dial 111.  Calls to the NHS111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.  For a life threatening medical emergency dial 999.

PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP                                 
We need some volunteers to join our Patient Participation Group to help us to ensure that we are providing the services you need from us. We would like to be able to contact patients to ask them questions about the surgery. If you can spare a little time please complete the form below or ask for one from reception.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Amy Stiles has joined the practice.

We are pleased to announce that we now have two registrars, two physiotherapists and two paramedic practitioners working with us at the practice

Dr Arham Munawar (f) - new GP Registrar and will be with the surgery for the next six months.

Dr Gohar Saeed (f) - Our GP Registrar and will be with the surgery for the eighteen months until August 2019

Physiotherapists, Edward Kirby & Gulten Dogan will be holding a weekly clinics  - please contact reception for an appointment.

Paramedic - Vicky Bryning - is working with us doing home visits.

Paramedic Practitioners - Abigail Merrell & David Binns are now working with the surgery doing home visits and supporting the doctors with frailty clinics

The Rectory Practice and Borough Lane Surgery merged to form Crocus Medical Practice in June 2015, operating from two sites about 4 miles apart - The Old Rectory, 18 Castle Street, Saffron Walden, CB10 1BP and High Street, Great Chesterford, CB10 1PL.

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help to give to our patients. The website is designed to make it easy to gain instant access to information. ACCOUNTABLE GP

All practices are required to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients, including children. All patients of Crocus Medical Practice have been allocated a accountable GP however this does not prevent you from seeing any other GP at the practice. If you would like to know who your named GP is please ask when you next attend or speak to someone at the surgery.

GP WEEKEND AND EVENING SERVICE -

Routine Appointments

You can now see a GP, Nurse/Healthcare Assistant outside of the surgery opening hours.

The west Essex Evening and Weekend GP service, provided by HUC (Hertfordshire Urgent Care), offers additional, pre-booked appointments at convenient times to suit your needs. 

These operate from six locations across Epping Forest, Harlow and Uttlesford and appointments are booked through your GP practice. It is not a ‘walk-in’ service and is for booked appointments only.

Evening and Weekend GP appointments are available seven days a week for all patients, during the following times:

 

-       Weekdays between 18.00 – 22.00

-       Saturdays and Sundays

 

Appointments are available at:

 

  • Loughton Health Centre - Loughton
  • Limes Medical Centre - Epping
  • Market Square Medical Centre – Waltham Abbey
  • Dunmow Community Centre – Great Dunmow
  • Stansted Surgery - Stansted
  • Hamilton Practice- Harlow
  • Saffron Walden Community Hospital - Saffron Walden
