EDUCATION & TRAINING SHUTDOWN - Wednesday 18th September 2019 from 12:30pm until Thursday 19th September 2019 at 8:00am. If you need medical attention and are unable to wait until the next day, please phone 111 or in an emergency dial 999. 

Please note: Our dispensaries will be closed from 12 noon on 18th September 2019.

If you require urgent medical assistance, which is not life threatening but cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please dial 111.  Calls to the NHS111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.  For a life threatening medical emergency dial 999.

PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP                                 
We need some volunteers to join our Patient Participation Group to help us to ensure that we are providing the services you need from us. We would like to be able to contact patients to ask them questions about the surgery. If you can spare a little time please complete the form below or ask for one from reception.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Amy Stiles has joined the practice.

We are pleased to announce that we now have two registrars, two physiotherapists and two paramedic practitioners working with us at the practice

Dr Arham Munawar (f) - new GP Registrar and will be with the surgery for the next six months.

Dr Gohar Saeed (f) - Our GP Registrar and will be with the surgery for the eighteen months until August 2019

Paramedic - Vicky Bryning - is working with us doing home visits.

Paramedic Practitioners - Abigail Merrell & David Binns are now working with the surgery doing home visits and supporting the doctors with frailty clinics 

Other Services

Antenatal and postnatal care is shared between ourselves, the consultant obstetricians and the midwives at the Rosie Maternity Hospital in Cambridge or Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.  Assistance is also provided by the community midwives based at SWCH or Sawston along with the community health visitors.


Our comprehensive family planning service includes oral contraception, injections, coil fitting, hormonal implants and emergency contraception.

Cervical Screening

Our nurses carry out smear tests for women aged between 25 and 65 following invitation from the Health Authority. The test results are posted directly to patients.

Minor Accidents & Emergencies

A doctor or nurse on duty at the surgery may be able to deal with minor accidents during surgery hours, please phone to enquire. Alrternatively there is a minor injury service at Herts & Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford (01279 655191 - open 09.00-16.00). More serious accidents should be taken to Addenbrooke's A&E Department.

Minor Illness

Our nurse practitioner is able to deal with many minor illnesses and infections.bandaging_arm

Minor Surgery

All our doctors will carry out minor surgery including the removal of moles and other skin lesions. All operations are carried out at our Great Chesterford branch in specific clinics after prior consultatuion with the doctor.

Drug Addiction

The practice provides specialised treatment to patients suffering from drug misuse.
